The Konosuba anime originally aired in 2016, and Studio Deen did an outstanding job with the first two seasons. KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!, an anime film, was also given to the community. Crimson Legend will be released in 2019. The creators then announced a new anime series centered on Konosuba in July 2021.
At the time, however, no information regarding the animation studio was available. Apart from that, we had no idea if the impending project would be the much-anticipated Season 3 of the series or a stand-alone. So, at long last, we have some clarity on that.
Release Date
On May 28th, 2022, the Konosuba anime series’ Twitter account revealed that Season 3 will be released. Studio Deen, on the other hand, will not be working on the future season; instead, Studio Drive will be in control.
Konosuba will have a spin-off series titled “Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World,” according to the production studio. It appears to be the same anime production that was teased in the year 2021. For Konosuba lovers, this day has been filled with wonderful surprises. After a nearly three-year hiatus, the anime series is returning with not one, but two new projects.

Despite this, we still don’t know when the third season will be released. We should expect the new season to be in production for at least 8-10 months, given that it was recently greenlit. As a result, season 3 of Konosuba may return to our screens in 2023.

What Will Happen in Konosuba Season 3?
Season 3 of “KonoSuba” has yet to be officially described, but based on the light novels that inspired the series, we can make some educated guesses about what might happen. “KonoSuba” has stayed true to the light novel stories thus far.
“KonoSuba’s” anime offers a wide range of story aspects thanks to the light novel series’ 17 volumes. “KonoSuba” used the first two volumes of the light book series for the first season, then the third and fourth volumes of the same light novel series for the second season.
Furthermore, the film appeared to be a continuation of the previous two seasons, as it was based on volume 5.
In Megumin’s country, Sylvia, a Demon King’s general, confronts the group.
Kazuma was able to beat Sylvia despite her ability to merge with two other generals and take on an even more menacing form.
The upcoming season is said to be based on Volume 6 of the light novel, which will follow Kazuma and his group as they meet with The Crown after defeating the Demon King.
Despite the fact that the meeting with royalty goes poorly, Kazuma is able to take a break from his friends.
Furthermore, Kazuma and Megumin’s growing romance is featured prominently throughout the film. As a result, Season 3 of the show will almost probably contain a deeper dive into this subject.
