We can’t wait to see what the future holds for our two favorite characters. The bad news is that the second season of Good Omens will have to wait.
Our favorite demon-angel combo has a lot of unanswered questions about what’s next. Originally, we weren’t going to get a second season, but now it’s here. A release date has yet to be determined, but filming is complete.
It is unfortunate that the new episodes won’t be coming out this month. Season 2 of Good Omens is currently in post-production, which isn’t all that shocking. However, a pleasant surprise would have been welcome.
Good Omens Season 2 Potential Release Date: When Will It Air?
Still no official release date for Good Omens 2 as of April 2022. If all goes according to plan, we’ll see the show on our TVs by the end of the year.
In November 2021, filming began in Scotland and finished in early March 2022. Michael Sheen tweeted a picture of Aziraphale’s distinctive cream coat hanging on the back of a door to corroborate the news.
Alongside it, he had written: “We need all the angels we can get at this time. The time has finally come for this one to put away his coat. However….#GoodOmens2”
When Georgia Tennant, David’s wife, posted a picture of her husband’s hair on Instagram, she joked that he’d been “exorcised” from the diabolical part of Crowley.
As expected, Neil Gaiman is back as executive producer and co-showrunner, and Douglas Mackinnon is back in the director’s chair.
“In order for us to take them both to Scotland, we needed proof that we were capable of doing so. The Zoom call from Los Angeles was met with puzzled looks.
Afterward, they headed out to find out where Scotland was.” “Tells Deadline, he’s Mackinnon “We’ve got the best of the best in the area working for us right now.
The term ‘local’ gives off an air of embarrassment. This is a great opportunity for us, and I’m delighted we’re finally making these shows here with Neil.”
Several new photographs from the shoot were shared by Amazon to commemorate the start of filming.
Gaiman, on the other hand, is clearly delighted to be back at work.
Michael Sheen and David Tennant’s “beautiful performances” on the streets of Soho “make me so thrilled to be back here in Soho,” the showrunner remarked (via CBR). “There is a sense that we are all still inside Terry Pratchett’s head, which is strange since I miss Terry Pratchett’s genius.
My co-showrunner, Douglas Mackinnon, and I had a blast working on this season’s plot hijinks with the great John Finnemore and our amazing cast and crew, all of whom have returned to do it all over again.
Reuniting with the original cast of Good Omens, this time in Scotland is like bringing a family back together, Mackinnon remarked.
“In addition to the cast, many members of our first season Good Omens team have reunited. I’m looking forward to directing six more episodes of what we believe will be heavenly entertainment since our team is becoming better and better.”
It sounds like the creative team is just as ecstatic as we are that Amazon Prime members will soon have six new episodes to look forward to.

The Cast of Good Omens 2
Michael Sheen and David Tennant were both confirmed to return as Aziraphale and Crowley, respectively, when the show’s second season was announced.
It’s been a long time since they’ve worked together, but they’ve announced their reunion with a sense of humor.
Despite my personal opposition, the planet won’t save itself if we don’t do something “Sheen said. “if David and I can’t get into a squabble this time, it may still be possible to complete the project.”
Good Omens returning is exciting for me personally,” said Tennant. The opportunity to work with Michael again and recite Neil’s amazing words is a blessing.
A new existential threat will most likely be discovered, which isn’t always a bad thing, but “you know, swings and roundabouts.”
“Good Omens 2 just would not be the same without the extraordinary Jon Hamm as Gabriel, everyone’s worst boss,” says showrunner Neil Gaiman. From London’s Soho to Hell and back again, Terry Pratchett and I’ve been writing the same story for years.
“Every time I bring back (or introduce) a beloved character or introduce a new one, I feel like I’m making a contribution to the story (or to hate, or to love to hate or hate to love). Everyone in the Good Omens clan is a peculiar and devoted fan.
As a director and co-showrunner, Douglas Mackinnon added: “I couldn’t be happier that Jon has agreed to reprise his role as Gabriel, the second-in-command in Heaven, in the upcoming third season of Good Omens.
We’ve already welcomed known people in familiar parts and familiar faces in unfamiliar ones into the Good Omens 2 family at this point in production. In addition, we’ve got a newcomer in a well-known part.”
Angels Michael, played by Doon Mackichan, and Uriel, a newcomer (Gloria Obianyo), will also make a reappearance (Dune, High Life).
Saraqael (Liz Carr) and Muriel (Melanie Griffith) are the other new angels to join the ensemble (Quelin Sepulveda).
As a character from hell, Shelley Conn has been added to the cast.
In the meanwhile, a number of season one’s cast members will return in new roles.
Paul Adeyema (Bancroft and Ransom), Michael McKean (This Is Spinal Tap), and Miranda Richardson (Better Call Saul), these actors have been cast in this film (Stronger, Rams).

What Happens in Season 2 of Good Omens?
Good Omens Season 2 will continue to examine the strange and amazing connection between angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley in London’s Soho after they prevented the apocalypse’s coming in Season 1.
As they return to their everyday lives, they are surprised by a mysterious messenger who brings them a fascinating riddle.
There’s going to be a new series based on Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s “Good Omens: The Nice And Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch” from 1990, which follows Aziraphale and Crowley’s adventure as they try to avert Armageddon and the Antichrist.

No, there is not currently a trailer for Season 2 of Good Omens.

Gaiman shared a photo of Crowley and Sheen on the set of Good Omens Season 2 dressed as their characters from the show. Both Tennant and Sheen appear in the illustration with Crowley’s red hair and Aziraphale’s white curls.
Gaiman stated: “You had to be patient. They are so affable now that you can see them, @michaelsheen and David Tennant, in action. This is our Soho set. The bookshop is to the left. On the right, is that a pub? #GoodOmens Season 2 at PrimeVideo.”
