The Genshin Impact version 2.8 release date has been set for July, and miHoYo has confirmed one of the banners, while leaks have surfaced elsewhere.
We’ll still get chapter 2.7 in June before version 2.8 is released. This episode introduces Yelan right away, along with a rerun of Xiao, and then introduces another new character named Kuki Shinobu as part of an Arataki Itto rerun.
While the release of version 2.7 is eagerly awaited, some players are looking ahead to see if they should save their primogems.
Genshin Impact 2.8 Release Date
The Genshin Impact 2.8 is scheduled to be released on July 13, 2022. This is derived from a May 19 announcement from Hoyoverse, which said not only the revised release date for the 2.7 patches but also that the traditional six-week patch cycle would continue, with the 2.8 patches arriving in July.
While this is subject to change if there is another delay, this is still a pretty solid statement of intent from Hoyoverse, so we can take it as stated for the time being.

Golden Apple Archipelago Characters in Genshin Impact 2.8
Well, it appears that the GAA will be rather packed this time, as early leaks suggest that the following characters will appear on the summer island:
Kazuha, Fischl, Xinyan, Yun Jin, Mona, Venti, Xiangling, Kazuha, Fischl, Xinyan, Yun Jin, Mona, Venti, Xiangling
According to the latest leaks and reports, the Dendro Archon Kusanali’s mortal name is Nahida.
We can confirm the presence of at least four of the characters indicated previously using this photograph. Fischl, Kazuha, Mona, Xinyan, and Kazuha With characters from four different countries, it appears to be a fascinating event.
The disclosure can potentially be seen as confirmation of the Kazuha rerun. After a year of waiting, the 5-star Anemo Swordsman has returned, and we couldn’t be happier!
Genshin Impact 2.8 Banners
Heizou is a rumored forthcoming character who was finally – and formally – unveiled by Hoyoverse on May 16. Heizou’s ability data has also been leaked online on sites like Honey Hunter, thanks to game data from a 2.8 beta.
This follows in the footsteps of Yelan and Kuki Shinobu, two new characters who were previously unveiled and featured in the 2.7 beta and are now making their official appearance on the current Genshin Impact banners for version 2.7.
While Heizou’s banner release date has yet to be confirmed, we wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t show up in patch 2.8 at some time.

After Heizou’s announcement and the commencement of the 2.8 beta, another reliable leaker named Lumie predicted that Heizou will be included in the patch’s first banner:
Heizou is rumored to be a four-star character, similar to Kuki Shinobu, which implies he’ll almost certainly appear as a four-star choice on another (four-star) character banner.

Genshin Impact 2.8 Events
There have been no verified Genshin Impact 2.8 events, however, there have been various rumors based on 2.8 beta leaks that have surfaced online. According to Genshin Intel, we could be getting a new event to grab Fischl for free:
There’s even talk of a jigsaw puzzle minigame.
Genshin Impact 2.8 Livestream
The Genshin Impact 2.8 Livestream has yet to be announced, however previous live streams have occurred about 10–12 days before a major patch’s release date.
With a release date of July 13, the webcast would take place between Friday, July 1, and Monday, July 4. Hoyoverse has already established a tradition of broadcasting live streams on weekends.
