Following the huge popularity of Ryoko Kui’s manga Dungeon Meshi, fans have been eagerly awaiting the anime adaptation, Delicious in Dungeon. Since its release in Japan in 2014, the manga has amassed a sizable fan base.
The plot revolves around a party of adventurers who must do whatever to survive in a dark dungeon, even devouring the monsters they vanquish.

Is There A Release Date For Delicious in Dungeon?
Fans of the popular comic series have another reason to celebrate. Just when they were about to give up on the manga after Chapter 97 in September 2023, it was announced that they would be rewarded with an anime adaptation sooner rather than later.
The announcement was made as part of Anime Expo 2023. Not only were fans given a sneak peek at the first episode, but it was also confirmed that Netflix will be handling international distribution.
The anime-inspired series will debut on the streaming site in January 2024. Netflix has been experimenting with anime for quite some time, so the fact that Delicious in Dungeon has been given the go-ahead to air the anime on Netflix indicates a promising future for the series. Viewers will be able to see it early next year.
Trigger, a Japanese production house, will produce the anime-adapted series. Kimiko Ueno will pen the script, while Yoshihiro Miyajima will direct. The series already has its own Twitter account!
Cast and Studio For Delicious in Dungeon
Studio Trigger’s animators are working on Delicious in Dungeon. Some anime fans may be surprised by this pick, given that the studio’s most known works have been high-octane action programs like Kill La Kill and, most recently, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
