The Japanese manga series Hunter x Hunter is back with a bang as Shueisha officially announced on Tuesday that Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter manga is ready for its release on 23 October after a four-year hiatus. Due to health-related issues of the writer Yoshihiro, the manga took a pause.
Shonen Jump officially announced on twitter writing: “Major announcement!!! Hunter x Hunter returns Oct 23! Brand new simulpub chapters are coming to Shonen Jump”! Litterally, fans were stunned after listening this news as the last chapters of the manga was released four years ago and they’ve been waiting it for so long.
Other than that, Viz media announced on monday that Hunter x Hunter’s new chapters will be available in english. Also, Shonen Jump revealed that current Hunter x Hunter chapters have been added to their online digital vault, which subscribers can readily view.

Togashi announced the relaunch of the series in May by opening a Twitter account to post updates on his work. In May’s Weekly Shonen Jump, he stated that he had completed the rough draughts for 10 chapters (the normal amount for a volume). Only six draughts had been completed at the time.
The Hunter x Hunter manga was launched in 1998 and after 2006, it took a lot of lengthy breaks. Till now, its chapters have been collected in 36 tankōbon volumes.
The story reads a boy named Gon Freecs, who has really good fighting skills, and is on a mission to find his father, who left him at a young age. Gon left his home and went to Whale Island to take the Hunter Examination.

In between the examination, he meets and befriends three of the other applicants, Kurapika who was the last remaining member of Kurta clan, who also want to become a hunter. His entire life has been devoted to finding the Scarlet Eyes and defeating the Phantom Troupe.
