New Year means new surprises, and TLC star Chilli’s fans have received so. It has been made official that she is dating Matthew Lawrence. Turning down the initial speculations about being ‘just friends’, the couple has gone Instagram official on New Year’s Eve.
Chilli is the popular American singer of the girl-band TLC whom almost every kid listened to in the 90s. Her real name is Rozonda Thomas but she is more popular by her stage name ‘Chilli’.
Previous relationships
Previously, Chilli was in a long-term relationship with Usher. The couple split back in 2003 after rumors of Usher’s infidelity started spreading.
Matthew was married to Burke for three years. Although the couple filed for divorce in February 2022, Burke announced the official date of separation to be 7th January of the same year.
During New Year’s, while Burke spoke about the struggles she faced in the ending year, Chilli and Matthew made their love official by making a post wearing matching onesies.

The duo was spotted during a vacation in Hawaii back in August 2022. Their reps turned down the gossip by saying that they were ‘just friends’ and were on a vacation with a whole group.

While talking about them to People in January 2023, Christal Jordan said, “I’ve been with Chilli since 2005 and I’ve never seen her this in love.” She further added, “She is glowing. They are really cute together.”
