Tom Joyner is a very known American radio host, entrepreneur, and philanthropist and is a very well-known and famous name in the world of broadcasting. He was born on November 23, 1949, in Tuskegee, Alabama.
His radio career began while serving in the United States Air Force and he was very much fond of broadcasting since the start. Joyner left the military and after that, he worked in a number of radio stations before landing in the position of a host in “The Tom Joyner Morning Show”, his nationally syndicated show which aired from 1994 to 2019.

He is a strong advocate for social justice and started the Tom Joyner Foundation in 1998 to empower the kids and also make them realize the need to be educated by providing scholarships to students attending HBCUs. Joyner made sure that no kid remains unaware of education.
Joyner not only helped the kids in promoting the right to education but also is a supporter of organizations that fight against sickle cell anemia which is a disease that disproportionately affects Black people and he was very appreciated for his efforts.
He also donated a lot to the disaster relief efforts during Hurricane Katrina and many other natural disasters. Joyner is an excellent radio broadcaster and people really love his way of capturing everybody’s attention and appreciate him for his kind efforts and philanthropic works.

Joyner’s efforts were recognized by all and he did a lot for the African American communities and radio industry for which he was awarded numerous honors and awards. In 1998, he was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame and the National Black Radio Hall of Fame in 2007,
Joyner was also appreciated for his kind efforts and received the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Host in a Talk, Reality, News/Information, or Variety Series in 2005 and 2006. He is also a recipient of the National Association of Broadcasters’ Marconi Award.
