Tarek El Moussa is a reality television star and a real estate agent from the United States. Tarek El Moussa is worth $15 million. As a real estate agent and house flipper in Orange County, California, Tarek is well-known in the area. “Flip or Flop” with his ex-wife Christina el Moustafa is his most popular television show (now known as Christina Haack).
Early Life and Pre-HGTV Career
He was born on August 21, 1981, in Long Beach, California, and grew up in the area. Arab and European origins can be traced back to him. He comes from a mixed-race family that has both Eastern European and Middle Eastern ancestry. When he was a child, his father was reared as a Catholic by his family in Lebanon and Egypt.
In his late teens, my father left the United States for Europe, where his mother was born and raised. Tarek was born in the United States of America, where he currently resides. There’s a Dominique in the family. Tarek enjoys spending time with his extended family, which includes his mother, father, and stepfather, who all reside nearby and occasionally help out with his children.
Tarek is a real estate agent and house flipper headquartered in Orange County, California, USA. He’s well-known for his ability to buy houses at auction, renovate them, and then resell them. At the age of 21, he obtained his real estate licence and began investing in properties to be flipped for a profit. He met Christina Haack, his future wife while flipping houses.
Tarek was in charge of renovations, while Christina was in charge of design. Until the financial crisis of 2008, business was booming. After the crash, Tarek and Christina famously moved from a $6,000-a-month luxury home to a $700-a-month studio apartment.
As a result of the housing meltdown, Orange County in California, where Tarek and Christina owned The El Moussa Group, had one of America’s highest rates of foreclosures. Tarek, Christina, and Pete De Best invested $115,000 in a Santa Ana investment property.
Having made $34,000 from the sale of their first house, they divided the proceeds and went on to flip more properties, eventually expanding into Arizona and Nevada.
The couple has two children, a daughter named Taylor and a son named Brayden, after getting married in 2009.

HGTV and Rise to Fame
Tarek and Christina’s real estate firm grew as the global economy recovered. A buddy of Tarek’s offered to film him and Christina as they flipped a house in 2011 in the hopes of using it as an audition tape. PTP and HGTV were interested in the tape and Christina’s Instagram profile after seeing it.
HGTV signed Christina and Tarek in 2012, and Flip or Flop premiered in April of that year. In the course of the episode, the couple goes through the often difficult process of bidding on, rehabilitating, and finally selling the property they’ve just purchased.
This refurbishment is handled by Tarek and Christina, who is also in charge of the design and scheduling. Christina and Tarek shot 92 episodes over seven seasons between 2013 and 2017. The couple quickly became a household name.
HGTV has announced that Tarek El Moussa’s next show, Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa, will premiere in 2020. Tarek serves as a coach to inexperienced real estate investors, teaching them the ropes of making a profit on a property flip through his own experience and expertise.

Cancer Diagnosis
As a registered nurse and fan of the show, Ryan Reade sent a letter to the show’s production company in 2013. She recommended that Tarek get checked out by a doctor after noticing a bump on his neck while watching Flip or Flop. It was later determined to be cancerous.
Testicular and thyroid cancers were discovered in Tarek. Because of the nurse, Tarek was able to get medical attention before it became a significant issue. HGTV.com has a video of the El Moussas thanking Reade after he called producers.
How Much Does Tarek el Moussa Make From HGTV?
Christina and Tarek made a meagre $10,000 per episode in the show’s early seasons. This amounted to roughly $130,000 throughout the course of the year. At $40,000 per episode in season three, they were paid an average of $620,000 every season.
Divorce from Christina
Sadly, Tarek and Christina ended their relationship in May 2016. Following Tarek departed the house after a disagreement and was said to be suicidal, the two decided to call it quits. He stated he was not suicidal and was only carrying a rifle to keep himself safe from wild animals while on a trek.
They filed for divorce in January of this year. As a result of their separation and subsequent divorce, the future of both their television show and their jointly held real estate firm, The El Moussa Group, was in doubt. In January of this year, their divorce was finally formalised.
There’s no denying that they were able to film Flip or Flop’s eighth season following the divorce and appear to be co-parenting well. The El Moussa Group was disbanded after their divorce, and Tarek and Associates were established in its place.
Christina married Ant Anstead, a British television host, in December of this year. Hudson Anstead, their first child, was born on September 6th, 2019. Just two blocks away from their wedding, they purchased a $4.1 million home in Newport Beach.

Relationship with Selling Sunset’s Heather Rae Young
It was revealed on Netflix’s Selling Sunset that Tarek and Heather Rae Young, a real estate salesperson who works for the Oppenheim Group, had been dating since July 2019. Because real estate isn’t her full-time job, Heather may be more easily sidetracked than the other real estate brokers on Selling Sunset.
EMG represents Heather’s career as a model. On Instagram, she has more than 600,000 followers. In February 2010, she was named Playboy’s Playmate of the Month. Heather, like Tarek, is a Southern California native. Her professional modelling career began at the age of 18.
When it comes to her job as an estate agent, she works with some of the world’s most famous and affluent people. Heather has a strong belief in the rights of animals. She has a strong desire to stay in shape and eat a nutritious diet.
When she’s not spending time with her three dogs Sebastian, Baxter, and Brandy, she enjoys jogging along the beach. Tarek’s daughter Taylor is a close friend of Heather’s in season two of Selling Sunset. Heather can’t stop talking about her friendship with Tarek.
Real Estate
With Heather, Tarek announced that he was moving out of the property he bought after splitting from his now ex-wife and into a new one in Newport Beach, but they had to back out of the deal because of faults in their new home.
So, they went looking for another place to live: a modern beach house just one block from the coast that they hope to rent for at least one year. Heather also lives in West Hollywood, which is a short distance from her Sunset Strip workplace.
