Selena’s fans are always excited to get updates about their favorite star. However, her recent post was especially surprising for all the Selenators.

It was recently announced that the shooting of “Only Murders in The Building” season 3 has started. The show, starring Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short, has a few additions as well.

Amidst all the excitement of the upcoming season, the recent post has intrigued fans further.

About The Intriguing Post

As the shooting commenced, the actors have been giving the fans little glimpses to keep them anticipated. Steve’s recent post has surely succeeded in achieving that.

The 77-year-old actor shared a picture with Selena Gomez on his Twitter handle. But the exciting element about the picture is the stars’ outfits.

Steve Martin alongside Selena Gomez

In the post, Steve is spotted rocking a dapper tuxedo with Selena on his arm. Our beloved Selena, on the other hand, is looking stunning in a beautiful vintage lace wedding gown along with a matching veil.

“Guess what just happened!” Martin captioned the snap.

It’s hard to miss that Martin’s picture is a Father of the Bride homage. In the 1991 film, Martin portrays George Banks, whose daughter Annie (Kimberly Williams Paisley) announces her engagement to her parents after she returns home from studying abroad.

The movie continues to take us along the journey in which George disastrously meets his in-laws-to-be and adjusts to life while trying his best to collaborate with a hilariously over-the-top wedding consultant played by Gomez and Martin’s Only Murders costar Martin Short.

The neighbor of the bride,” one fan commented as another added, “Wasn’t there a movie called … oh yeah, I get it.Congrats 🫶🎉🎈”

Another Twitter user joked, “Steve, you’re going to go broke with all these weddings!” while one asked, “Life imitates art?

Martin Short hopped on to the trend as he also posted a picture alongside Selena in the wedding attire.

“Turns out this happened, too.” the 72-year-old actor captioned.

Selena herself took to Instagram, posing in a comfortably fun manner and showing off her white combat boots. She was donning the gown, sitting on the floor with a coca-cola can in her hand.

“I have no caption. Just a regular day at work. @onlymurdershulu,” she wrote.

In the comment section, the show’s official Instagram page sweetly asked, “First things first, am I invited?”.

The Fab New Cast of The Series

The pictures were posted on the internet a few weeks after the announcement of Season three. The shooting has started, guess who the new additions to the show are?

It was announced by the makers that Meryl Streep will also be joining the star cast of Only Murders in the Building.

Last season ended with Paul Rudd joining the show as Broadway star Ben Glenroy in the season finale.

Additionally, it was announced that Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams will have a recurring role as a “documentarian with a particular interest in the case that Mabel, Charles, and Oliver are working on,” per Variety.

It looks like season three will be a surprising season for the show’s fans.

Conclusion

As the shooting for Only Murders in the Building season three has started, the stars have been giving us sneak peeks into the making of the show. One such surprising post was made all of them which sported Selena in wedding attire- sharing a Father of the Bride moment with her co-star Steve Martin.

All these posts and Meryl Streep’s addition to the cast have only fuelled fans’ excitement about the upcoming season.
