R&B singer-songwriter Crush and BTS member J-Hope have teamed together on a new project called Rush Hour for a funky, groovy digital single. Rush Hour was the singer’s first album to be released after he was honorably discharged from the military in August 2022.

Crush had been teasing his new song since last week with moving posters in the style of the ’50s and concept photos, but it wasn’t until yesterday that it was made public that it was a duet with J-Hope. Before the teaser was made public, Crush posted a lyric teaser with what appeared to be hip-hop instrumental blended with some funky sounds from a bygone period.

In the teaser, a bright yellow taxi can be seen as people standing around and conversing. As the drumbeats begin, we notice a bunch of runners wearing blue t-shirts going backward. Cut to Crush singing “Hey ladies, guys, do what you want to do, baby” while sporting a yellow hat in a bird’s eye perspective.

At the same time, a number of dancers join him, and the vocalist also dances rhythmically to the music. The last shot, in which Crush advances toward the camera while pointing his finger at it, shows the dancers making gestures that appear to be encouraging you to bust a move. Given that J-Hope is a featured artist, we might witness both South Korean singers swaying to their beats in the music video.

Prior to this, Crush was a featured singer on Psy’s Happier song from the veteran performer’s ‘Psy 9th’ studio album, which was released in April when he was still doing his required military duty. J-Hope, meantime, recently made his solo debut with the Jack In The Box album, which was also released digitally and debuted at Number 17 on the Billboard 200 chart.
