Rob Marciano seemed to be letting his problems go away.
Saturday, the Good Morning America meteorologist enjoyed a day at the beach with his 81,000-plus Instagram followers while sharing some words of wisdom.
A kite in the sky with a long rope at the end of it was Rob’s caption for an Instagram Story he posted on the social media platform. “In times of crisis, go fly a kite,” Rob said.
A month after revealing he tested positive for COVID-19 on his 54th birthday, he took his children, 10-year-old Madelynn and 4-year-old Mason, to the beach for a fun day together.
It was only just made public this week that Rob’s wife of 11 years, Eryn Marciano, filed for divorce quietly last year.
In June of 2021, Eryn filed a petition with the Supreme Court of Westchester County, New York, according to court records acquired by PEOPLE. The immediate court action was taken in May when a motion to compel was filed.
A statement from Rob Marciano to PEOPLE said, “A previous couple of years have been really stressful.”
“In an attempt to keep the marriage together despite my displeasure, I filed for divorce from my husband. My primary concern right now is the well-being of my little children.”
An Eryn, a Westchester-based real estate agent, did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for an interview.
According to public records acquired by PEOPLE, their Rye, N.Y., family home sold for $2.7 million earlier this month.
In spite of the fact that they filed for divorce less than a year after getting married in November 2010, the couple appears to be getting along well with one other as co-parents of Madelynn and Mason, taking them to Disney World for spring break this past April.
