“Extra’s” Rachel Lindsay talked to Micah Lussier and Paul Peden of Season 4’s “Love Is Blind” about their heartbreaking breakup on the wedding day.
Paul explained when he felt Micah was going to say no and she explained why she wanted Paul to decide first.
She said, “It was so difficult to go up to the altar…” I had faith that if I gave him the opportunity to respond first, he would do so from the goodness of his heart.
Micah hoped to relieve Paul of some of his responsibilities. ‘I knew something was different, and I thought that if I was going to say yes, I wasn’t that afraid of his saying no,’ she said. My biggest worry was that he would say yes simply because he felt pressured to or because he didn’t want to shame me in front of our loved ones.
She was “pissed” and “so sad” about what had happened, but she knew it would hurt even more if he said yes when he “didn’t feel it in his heart.”
Paul claimed he was caught off guard and didn’t realize he was going to reject the offer until after he had already made the statement.
Paul acknowledged that while their connection “felt organic,” they lacked a “clear vision” of their future together. What he meant was, “I think in order to get married, you have to have that vision of the future together.”
Micah and Paul share the view that love is colorblind, despite the fact that they never ended up together. Her final comment was, “I found a great love, whether it turned out to be something romantic and forever, it was certainly a love.”
The live reunion airs on Sunday, April 16 at 9 p.m. ET on Netflix, where Season 4 of “Love Is Blind” is currently accessible.
