Joey Kramer, the drummer for Aerosmith, lost his 13-year marriage to Linda.
Linda, a former contract administrator for Hewlett-Packard, passed away on June 22 at the age of 55, according to a representative for the musician. The cause of death is not yet known.
According to a death certificate acquired by PEOPLE, Linda had “a wicked, naughty sense of humour,” adored Hallmark Christmas movies, and had “a passion for driving fast automobiles.”
She had strong feelings for her friends, family, and two dogs, Lucy and Cosmo.
In October 2009, Joey Kramer and Linda were wed, with the musician referring to her as “the love of his life.”
According to her obituary, Linda had Joey’s pleasure and well-being among her primary priorities.
Her surviving family members include her husband, parents, three sisters, stepsiblings, stepson Jesse, and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Joey announced in late March that he would not be performing with Aerosmith this summer when they resume their Deuces Are Wild residency in Las Vegas, citing family as the reason for his “temporary leave of absence” from the band.
In a statement to USA Today at the time, the band said, “He has sadly decided to miss the band’s concerts in 2022 so he may devote all of his attention to his family during these uncertain times.” He anticipates performing with Aerosmith in the future, as do the members of the band.
When lead vocalist Steven Tyler sought treatment following a relapse in his sobriety following a recent surgery, the dates were finally postponed in May.
The statement, which was posted on Instagram, said, “As many of you know, our loving brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years.”
