ET has confirmed that former Glee star Blake Jenner was detained in Los Angeles County on suspicion of driving under the influence.
On July 9, the actor was pulled over for a driving violation in Burbank, California, after reportedly failing to stop at a red light.
Officers allegedly conducted a safety test and found Jenner had a blood alcohol percentage above the legal limit. According to Burbank PD and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, he was charged with DUI.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at 12:16 a.m. on Verdugo and Kenneth roads. The actor was brought into custody and released around 6:15 a.m. the next morning. It was decided that Jenner would be released on a $5,000 bond.
Jenner’s arrest and DUI charge were first reported by TMZ.
Blake Jenner played Ryder Lynn in Glee, so you might recognize him. Additionally, the actor guest-starred on the television show Supergirl.
For his admission that he had an abusive relationship with his ex-wife, Jenner made headlines in October 2020.
He said in a lengthy social media post that he fell in love with a woman at the age of 20 and that their “shared brokenness” caused them to have a difficult marriage.
Two years before they called it quits, they had an argument that “escalated” and he “threw my phone aimlessly and it hit my former partner in the face.”
“I take full responsibility and accountability for the hurt that I inflicted during my relationship with my past partner — emotionally, mentally, and yes, physically,” he admitted at the time.
“When I saw my ex-eye girlfriend’s swell shut from the force of the phone, I was in a state of shock and fear. For the rest of my life, that’s a mistake I’ll rue “Jenner had a lot to say. That pain I inflicted on her is my fault and will haunt me for the rest of my life.
From 2015 to 2017, Jenner was married to actress Melissa Benoist. In his statement, he made no mention of her by name.
