On Father’s Day, ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik is getting some love from ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
The 27-year-old supermodel paid tribute to the late member of One Direction on Sunday with a heartfelt Instagram Story post.
Gigi first paid tribute to her own father, Mohamed Hadid, by referring to him as her “dear baba,” and then uploaded a photograph of Malik, 29, and their 21-month-old daughter Khai, calling him “Khai’s baba.”
The father and daughter seen in the photograph are having fun together, drawing with huge markers.
It was in September 2020 when Gigi and Malik had their first child together.
At that moment, Malik announced the birth of his first child, a healthy and lovely daughter named Hailey. “It’s tough for me to put into words how I’m feeling right now. I have no idea how much I care for this small human. Excited about our future together and grateful for the opportunity to meet her. x.”
Gigi also used social media to announce the arrival of her child, posting a black-and-white photo of her and Malik holding hands.
“Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love🥺💕,” she wrote.
In September 2021, Malik was charged with four charges of harassment following an incident involving Gigi’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, which prompted Gigi to pay homage to him on Father’s Day.
According to court records acquired by PEOPLE, Malik reportedly “grabbed [Yolanda] and threw her into a dresser, causing mental agony and physical suffering,” according to People. A statement sent by Malik to TMZ reads, “I hope Yolanda would reconsider her false charges and move toward repairing these family issues in private.”

For each of the four crimes, Malik was sentenced to 90 days of probation, an anger management class, and a domestic violence program; he was also forbidden from contacting Yolanda.
Following the apparent incident between Malik and Yolanda, numerous sources revealed to PEOPLE in October that Gigi and the “Pillow Talk” artist had broken up. “They are not currently in a relationship.
There is no doubt in my mind that they are both excellent parents “one of the Hadids’ close friends, who requested anonymity, said.
“They work together as a family. Of course, Yolanda takes great care of Gigi. When it comes to her daughter and granddaughter, she wants the best.”
