On Saturday, January 21, Selena Gomez and Andrew “Drew” Taggart were photographed having dinner in New York City.
The couple was reportedly seen together for the first time at Torrisi Bar & Restaurant in Soho, where Us Weekly captured the two holding hands.
Their night out on the town is their second in a week. They were previously seen on a bowling date at The Gutter in New York City on Tuesday, January 17.
Earlier last month, Us exclusively revealed their developing romance. A source told Us on January 16 that the actress and her new partner are “extremely casual and low-key,” and that they “go bowling and to the movies” when they spend time together. “They’re not attempting to disguise their affection by sneaking around to members-only clubs,” said the insider.
“They are really in love and having so much fun together,” the person continued. “Selena can’t take her hands off him.
Drew Taggart‘s current connection with Gomez follows Us exclusively revealing four months ago that the EDM artist was seeing Steve Jobs’ younger daughter, Eve Jobs.
Selena and Taggart’s romance was a “casual summer fling,” a source exclusively told Us in September 2022. Their spark fizzled out before the DJ began seeing the Wizards of Waverly Place alum. Taggart and Eve’s breakup was “totally amicable,” the source told Us, adding that the exes are “friends” who are both “very mature and cool about going [their] separate ways.”
Taggart was previously linked to Meredith Mickelson and Haley Rowe before his relationships with Gomez and Eve. Us announced his divorce from DJ Chantel Jeffries in March 2021, after a year of dating.
From 2011 through 2018, Gomez dated Justin Bieber on and off, and she was also linked to Niall Horan, Charlie Puth, and Zedd. In 2017, she dated The Weeknd for nine months while on a hiatus from Bieber, 28.
The 30-year-old singer has been outspoken about having her heart crushed, but she has stated that traumatic breakups would not deter her from seeking love. “I feel like giving yourself totally to something is the finest way I can love,” Gomez remarked on Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast in November 2022.
“But I never wanted the suffering I went through to form some sort of guard — an armor, if you will — around me, and I never allowed that happen because I still believe and I still hope.” “I’d rather keep getting my heartache than not feel at all,” she said.
