Ashton’s reaction to plastic surgery rumors
Kutcher did not directly address any of his surgery rumors. He did not even acknowledge them. However, he did open up about having battled with the autoimmune disorder vasculitis for over one year.
During his appearance on Running Wild: The Challenge in August 2022, he said, “Like, two years ago, I had this weird, super rare form of vasculitis that, like, knocked out my vision, it knocked out my hearing, it knocked out, like, all my equilibrium.”
Vasculitis is an inflammation of the blood vessels, which can potentially cause a thickening of the vessels and subsequently restrict blood flow, resulting in damaging organs and tissues, as the Mayo Clinic describes it.
The actor shared how it took him over a year to build back his lost senses and how he learned to truly appreciate them.
“You don’t really appreciate it until it’s gone,” he added. “Until you go, ‘I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to see again, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to hear again, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to walk again.’”
He further added, “The minute you start seeing your obstacles as things that are made for you, to give you what you need, then life starts to get fun, right? You start surfing on top of your problems instead of living underneath them.”
He took time off to heal and laid low for a couple of years. Now Kutcher looks like he is doing well and has overcome his battle.
