The Screen Actors Guild Awards were recently won by A24 in a sweeping fashion. Because to the significant performance given by “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once” throughout the evening (the multiverse film was awarded a total of four prizes at the 2023 SAG Awards ceremony), as well as Brendan Fraser’s triumph for “The Whale.” With the exception of the award for best stunts, which was given to “Top Gun: Maverick,” this is the first time in cinema history that a studio has won all of the major film prizes.

This monumental evening for the A24 film “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once,” which was directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, began bright and early with Jamie Lee Curtis (who won for actress in a supporting role). After that, Ke Huy Quan was the recipient of the award for excellent performance by a male actor in a supporting role. He took home the trophy. After that, Michelle Yeoh took home the award for actress in a leading part, and the ceremony was capped off by a triumph for the cast of a film’s collective effort to deliver the greatest performance in a motion picture. The record for most victories by a single film at the SAG Awards has been broken thanks to “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once,” which took home four awards.

And that wasn’t even the only thing of historical significance that took place during the SAG Awards because of the film. As a result of Quan’s victory, he became the first Asian guy to ever receive an award for cinema acting at the annual guild ceremony since the event’s establishment in 1994. A teary-eyed Quan stated on stage, “The terrain seems completely different today compared to how it did before.” “I want to offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone in this room who had a hand in making these adjustments,”

Yeoh was also the first Asian actress to receive the award for best performance in a main role in a film. Yeoh addressed the gathering and stated, “This is not only for me, this is for every little girl who looks like me.”
