It seems like 50 Cent and Eminem are coming with a blast in the future as recently, the “Mockingbird” rapper revealed that he is going to turn the 2002 film “8 Mile” into a TV show.

During a Friday visit on the BigBoyTV YouTube channel, the rapper said that the film, a semi-autobiographical look at Eminem’s life, has a television program “in motion.”

“I’m gonna bring his 8 Mile to television,” 50 Cent said in an interview with Big Boy TV, before confirming that 50 Cent is involved in the project, and the two have already made some progress toward getting it made. “We’re in motion.”

“It’s gonna be big. I’m working. I ain’t got no duds. I’m batting 100,” the 47-year-old rapper said after being asked about the show. “I think it should be there for his legacy because it’s important to me that they understand it.”

When Big Boy questioned 50 Cent whether it was his idea to adapt the cult great film into a series and if he had to convince Eminem, the rapper responded no.

“I think it should be there for his legacy, because if you don’t see… it’s vital to me that kids comprehend it,” added the rapper. “Do you understand what I mean?”

50 Cent described the program as a modern retelling of the film, comparing it to Bel-Air, Peacock’s relaunch of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

“I wanna be able to show and offer a lot more details, things that you would say in an interview or different things that you’ve already used, that you put out there, and stuff like that,” he said. “You’ll see those things kind of surface and the temperament of the characters.”
