Following widespread criticism of his response to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, Roger Waters has postponed a pair of gigs in Poland.

This month, Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters wrote an open letter to Olena Zelenska, the first lady of Ukraine, in which he expressed his regret that “radical nationalists” were responsible for “setting your country on the path to this catastrophic war.”

Waters has previously called Vice President Joe Biden a “war criminal” for “fueling the fire in Ukraine.”

Polish media confirmed on Saturday (24 September) that the next April shows scheduled for the Tauron Arena in Krakow had been canceled due to Waters’ health.

Lukasz Pytko, a representative for the venue, said that Waters’ manager “decided to withdraw” the performances “without giving any reason.”

The Krakow dates on the webpage for Waters’s This Is Not a Drill tour have been removed.

It was expected that Krakow’s city council, out of “indignation” over Waters’s attitude on the crisis in Ukraine, would vote next week on a resolution to label Waters a persona non grata.

Recently, the 79-year-old advocated for Ukraine to cease its resistance to Russia. Likewise, he has spoken out against NATO, saying that the alliance is deliberately trying to provoke Russia.
