Stranger Things: Then And Now with The Cast (2022 Edition)

Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven)

STRANGER THINGS CAST THEN AND NOW

Millie must be mentioned while discussing the cast of Stranger Things both in 1992 and in 2022. The first time Millie played Eleven, she was 11 years old (what a coincidence!). The famous person has just turned eighteen.

For the first few episodes of the first season, she just appeared as a faceless, balding girl with no backstory. She introduced herself as “Eleven,” explaining that her tattoo of “011” on her arm was the reason for the nickname.

She had just escaped from the agents when she happens to Dustin, Mike, and Lucas. The group of pals, or “party,” lends a hand by finding her temporary housing in Mike’s cellar.

Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) later takes care of her and shelters her. By the third season, she has settled into a more regular existence with Hopper, who has taken her in as his daughter. She also sparks romance between Mike and herself. However, as they battle evil together, they hit a tough point in their relationship.

Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler)

Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Finn Wolfhard, and Caleb McLaughlin from “Stranger Things” are featured in the BUILD Series.

Middle-child Elle is discovered in the woods by Mike, Nancy’s younger brother. He brings her back to his house and tries to figure out who she is while keeping her identity a secret from his parents.

Very quickly, he realizes that she possesses magical abilities and can communicate with Mike in Upside Down. Mike has always been Elle’s number one fan.

Despite Hopper’s misgivings, the two soon developed feelings for one another beyond friendship.

Elle, Joyce (Winona Ryder), and Will leave New York for California at the end of Season 3. (Noah Schnapp). Was their connection strained because of the time difference? On Friday, May 27, we’ll get to see what happens in Season 4.

Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson)

Dustin, the party’s outspoken companion, was always portrayed as an assured young man. Dustin bands together with his pals to look for Will when he goes missing in the pilot.

As he takes care of a slug-like creature he named Dart, he develops his own character arc in season two. In retrospect, though, once the creature matures into a Demodog, he has some regrets about his first reaction (from the Upside Down).

To watch him develop romantic feelings for Steve Harrington is a treat (a cute bromance we all root for). In Season 3, the duo continues their mission by attempting to crack a Russian fortress’s secret code.

Caleb Mclaughlin (Lucas Sinclair)

STRANGER THINGS CAST THEN AND NOW

Lucas, the level-headed and rational member of the ‘party,’ plays a reliable function in the group. Initially, he is skeptical and worried about Elle’s abilities, but he eventually comes around and realizes how helpful Elle is.

Lucas’s (Matt Dillon) friendship with Max (Sadie Sink) deepens during Seasons 2 and 3. The fact that both Lucas and Dustin are fans of ‘Mad Max’ is the initial source of contention between the two. On the other hand, she becomes close to Lucas.

At the same time that Elle and Mike are having difficulties, we see that Lucas and Max are, too. While Max facilitates Eleven’s “girl time,” consisting of sleepovers, shopping, and male discussion, Elle finally ends her relationship with Mike.

Fortunately, it seems like Max and Lucas continue to be a team in Season 3.

Noah Schnapp (Will Byers)

STRANGER THINGS CAST THEN AND NOW

Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Finn Wolfhard, and Caleb McLaughlin from “Stranger Things” are featured in the BUILD Series.

The first season’s central plot is around Will, who goes missing after spending the night at a friend’s house and then riding his bike home. But much to Joyce’s (his mom) distress, he never returns home.

In the midst of a frenzied search by the authorities and Will’s family, Eleven discovers that Will has been dragged into the Upside Down.

He is eventually rescued by Hopper and Joyce, who goes looking for him in the shadows. His ties to the otherworldly realm remain strong.

In Seasons 2 and 3, we learn that he is connected to the “Mind Flayer,” an entity with physical world destruction as its ultimate goal. His character worries in the first season that as they all become young adults, they would gradually drift apart.

Following the sale of their home, Will, his mother, brother Jonathan, and girlfriend Elle relocate to California.

Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield)

Six years have passed, yet Sadie is still recognizable among the cast of Stranger Things.

STRANGER THINGS CAST THEN AND NOW

In season two, when Elle is absent — or, at least, when her friends assume she is no longer present — a character named “Mad Max” arrives in town. She seems to be a multifaceted individual with tense ties to her stepbrother, Billy.

At first, the “party” has no idea who “Mad Max” is; they only see her username consistently outperforming their high schools in all of their favorite arcade games. Maxine’s classmates quickly realize that she is, in fact, Mad Max after she enrolls there.

She and Elle also have some unresolved issues. Even while Eleven has feelings for Mike, she is actually developing feelings for Lucas.

Billy, her stepbrother, holds a grudge against her because of how his father treats him due to his animosity toward their stepmother and stepsister.

Later, Max learns that Billy has been possessed by a monster from the Upside Down called the Mind Flayer, and he makes the ultimate sacrifice to free Billy and his pals.

Did They Change the Black Kid in Stranger Things?

The Duffer brothers, Matt and Ross, have said, “One of the great joys of the show is that we have gotten to see Caleb and Priah grow and evolve — not just as actors, but as people. It’s encouraging to see that Caleb’s stardom hasn’t changed who he is as a person of kindness and generosity.
