Why Was Pierre Listed as Missing?
An alert for Pierre’s disappearance was sent out by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in early June 2022, with a photo of Paul and a note stating that the 3-year-old might be present with him at the time.
In Touch was informed on July 3 that Pierre had been found and was “secure” by the Louisville Metro Police Department and that the missing person’s file had been closed as of that date.
Sources have confirmed that Paul Staehle let Pierre off in a local park after exchanging phone numbers with his parents and that Pierre’s belongings were also dropped off.
However, CPS took Pierre away from Paul’s mother Mary early on Sunday evening, saying that she had hoped to retain Pierre until Monday.
Pierre’s grandparents or a relative should be given temporary custody if two parents have their children kidnapped, Paul wrote just days before it was announced that Pierre had been returned safely.
