Rapper Iggy Azalea calls her plastic surgeries “an emotional journey”

The youth rapper Iggy Azalea has always been in the headlines for her enviable body curves and facial perfection. Plastic surgery talks are very common in the entertainment industry and very few celebrities are left unnoticed when talking about them going under the knife.

Being in such an industry where body aesthetics speaks, it becomes very obvious rather a necessity to look perfect or have the correct curves.

Iggy Azalea is no such exception to this and had gone through a number of such surgeries. The rapper is quite open about her surgeries and considers all this a very calculated decision.

Iggy’s early life

Amethyst Amelia Kelly popularly known by her stage name Iggy Azalea is an Australian rapper, singer, and songwriter who gained much attention in 2011 with her debut mixtape, “Ignorant Art.”

She was born on 7 June 1990, in Sydney, Australia, and moved to the United States at the age of 16 to pursue her career in the music and entertainment industry.

Iggy Azalea has a son Onyx, whom she shares with ex-Playboi Carti. They started dating in 2018 but unfortunately broke up in 2020.

Iggy’s butt implants

The rapper was in the news for her butt implant and within no time rumors spread like wildfire. In 2014, the rapper was seen with the sensational Jennifer Lopez in the music video “Booty” flaunting their perfect shapely curves, and what caught everyone’s eye was the rapper’s enviable behind.

The rapper was seen clarifying and denying that she has not got any butt implants done and said that “Of course the butt is mine. I heard it’s not a real butt, I’ve heard it’s a number of things. I heard sometimes it’s my underpants. I heard its implants. All kinds of crazy things. ‘It’s my flesh, it’s my butt”.

Iggy’s boob enlargements

She continued to clarify that it is her real butt and she didn’t ever feel the need to get her butt implants done. She further accepted having done breast enlargements saying that she was tired of the padding in the stage costumes and felt the need to get them done. She said: “Four months ago, I got bigger boobs! I’d thought about it my entire life.”

Iggy’s nose job

After her appearance at the Billboard Music Awards, the rapper seemed to have certain facial changes. Fans assumed that the rapper had gone through a nose job to make it look a bit straight and thinner.

Iggy’s views on her plastic surgery

The rapper accepted to have got rhinoplasty done and she doesn’t deny it or feel ashamed of doing the changes to herself. She says it’s the perception of yourself that can change over time and thus it’s important to wait and make sure that it’s the right choice.

The rapper expressed her views on the multiple surgeries she had and how the journey was not an easy one for her.

She further goes on to say that Plastic surgery is an emotional journey and it takes a lot of courage to accept the flaws and live with them There is absolutely no shame in changing those flaws because, in the end, all that matters is our own happiness. She said that there are still certain flaws in her but she has accepted to live with them.

Even after being amidst all the rumors and getting pointed for her every move, the rapper has carried herself very well. Her openness about her surgeries is an example for many who hide under wraps. The star because of her casual and youthful personality is loved by all and we hope she gets more success.
