All attendees had to be at least 18 years old, despite the TikTok star’s young age of 17. This is because “it’s not an appropriate occasion for people under 18,” according to a representative for the Met Gala.
“The weird thing about the rumors is I’m actually not old enough to go to the Met Gala,” Charli remarked in a Sirius XM interview. “But I have gotten so much hate about it and I’m like, guys, I can’t even go.”
