Caroline Alice Stanbury was born on April 28, 1976, in London, England. She is the daughter of Anthony Stanbury, a venture capitalist and former managing director of Jaeger (a high-end fashion corporation), and Elizabeth Stanbury, who owned a cashmere knitting company.
Elizabeth is also a member of the landed Vestey family and an old friend of Sue Ferguson, the Duchess of York’s father’s second wife. Caroline has two brothers, Alex and Edward, as well as a sister, Victoria.
