Hollywood legend John Aniston, “Days of Our Lives” fame, has passed away. He was 89.
Actress Jennifer Aniston broke the news of her father’s death in a memorial to him posted to Instagram on Monday morning, writing that John Aniston had passed away quietly on Friday, Veteran’s Day.
John Aniston, after graduating from Pennsylvania State University, spent several years in the mid-1950s working as an intelligence officer with the United States Navy. In an interview with the Television Academy from 2019, he reminisced about his time spent playing in plays at Panamanian theatres while on active duty.

Jennifer Aniston announced in a touching homage to her late father that he had passed away on November 11, or “11/11,” in a post on November 14, 2022.
She penned, “John Anthony Aniston: “Sweet papa, you were one of the most beautiful people I knew.”
I am so happy that you ascended into the heavens painlessly and in peace. and no less on 11/11! Your timing was always impeccable.
I’ll adore you forever; don’t forget to visit. That number will always have a larger meaning for me now.” The actress failed to specify John’s cause of death in her tweet. John most likely passed away naturally because of old age and the absence of any known medical conditions.
Who Was John Aniston?
John was a veteran actor best recognised for playing Victor Kiriakis on NBC’s Days of Our Lives. By the way, Joey, a character played by Matt LeBlanc, was a cast member in Jennifer’s hit programme Friends, which also made reference to the episode.
John shared Jennifer with Nancy Dow, his first wife, who passed away in 2016. When the Friends star was 10 years old, he broke up with Nancy. John and Sherry Rooney, his second wife, share a son, Alexander, in addition to Jennifer.
John made his acting debut in 1962 with 87th Precinct and later appeared in a number of television programmes, including Mission: Impossible, Gilmore Girls, The West Wing, and Mad Men, to mention a few. He was honoured earlier this year with the Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award.
