Brittany Snow has made her ultimate decision as she officially filed for divorce from Tyler Stanaland.
Brittany listed “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for their split in court filings filed in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County on Thursday and obtained by PEOPLE.
She mentioned that they had a prenuptial agreement that will decide spousal support and how they would split their property. She also requested that she and Stanaland divide the attorney’s expenses.
Snow and Stanaland, who got engaged in 2019 and married in March 2020 in Malibu, announced their split in September with identical comments. Snow’s petition does not specify the date they divorced.
“After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate,” wrote Snow. “This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another. We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives.”
“We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie,” the Pitch Perfect actress added. “We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.”
PEOPLE claimed that day that Snow and Stanaland were having marital problems after he disclosed that one of his Selling the OC co-stars attempted to kiss him off-camera. According to a source, appearing on the show and having their life made into a tale “broke them,” adding, “They had troubles before, but this is the final straw.”
“Brittany never wanted Tyler on the program, but he was persistent,” a source added. “He wanted to build a reputation for himself on his own terms.”
Another source stated, “They’re done. All of the girls in the program are enamored with him. He’s tried hard to be courteous, but it’s cost him his wife.” Stanaland and his Selling the OC co-star Alex Hall were pictured together on the same day they announced their divorce.
TMZ said at the time that the two were seen eating dinner with pals at SOTA Sushi in Corona Del Mar, including costar Polly Brindle. According to the publication, Stanaland and Hall, 34, were not bashful about caressing each other throughout the night. In one of the photographs received by TMZ, Stanaland can be seen smelling Hall.
According to the publication, a witness spotted them going down the street together at the end of the night.
