Hi, I’m Anjali Arora, the quietly curious mind behind Landscape Insight.
I’ve always been most comfortable in my own space. I’m not great at small talk (it still makes me a little uneasy), and I’ve never been the loudest person in the room. What I have always carried with me, though, are two steady loves that shape how I move through the world: animals and food.
My dog, Shiro, is rarely far from my side. He has a way of quietly inserting himself into every part of my routine, as if he knows exactly where he belongs.
Whether I’m following the aroma of something unfamiliar in a new kitchen or spending a slow evening with a book and leftovers, he’s there steady, observant, and surprisingly opinionated about food. He’s been my travel companion, unofficial taste tester, and grounding presence when things feel loud.
I’ve never been interested in rushed itineraries or checking boxes. Fast travel leaves me feeling disconnected, like I’ve skimmed the surface without really understanding what I saw. I like moving slowly, paying attention to details others pass by, and letting flavors lead the way. To me, food is one of the clearest ways a place tells its story — and I’m happiest listening one bite at a time.
American and Italian cooking feel like home (and yes, pizza holds a special place), but what truly excites me is the unexpected. It might be the dish you don’t recognize on a menu, a recipe shared casually by someone you just met, or a meal that shifts how you think about familiar flavors.

I never planned on becoming a blogger. Writing online was never part of some carefully mapped-out goal.
What I wanted instead was a place to appreciate the small moments we tend to overlook — that first sip of coffee on a rainy morning, a spice you can’t quite identify but keep thinking about, a quiet walk through an unfamiliar city that somehow feels familiar.
Landscape Insight is where I slow everything down and let curiosity lead. It’s not about chasing trends or perfection, but about paying attention and giving ordinary moments the space they deserve. It’s a space for stories, flavors, photographs, and the gentle moments that end up staying with us the longest.
Whether you’re here for recipes, thoughtful travel, or simply a calm corner of the internet to linger in — you’re very welcome.
Let’s take our time and enjoy the strange, beautiful, delicious details of life together.
