Ingredients

  • 2 –3 jasmine tea bags or 1–2 Tbsp loose jasmine tea
  • 1½  cups hot water
  • ½ –¾ cup milk dairy or plant‑based
  • 1 –2 Tbsp sugar or honey adjust to taste
  • 1  tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes for iced tea
Optional Bubble Tea Add‑In:
  • ½  cup cooked tapioca pearls boba

Equipment

  • Teapot or saucepan
  • Strainer (if using loose‑leaf tea)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Pitcher (for iced version)
  • Stirring spoon

Method

  1. Heat water until just below boiling and add the jasmine tea to steep for 3–5 minutes, extracting the floral aroma without bitterness.
  2. Remove tea bags or strain loose leaves, then stir in sugar or honey while the tea is still warm so it dissolves completely.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix gently.
  4. Allow the sweetened tea to cool slightly this helps prevent the milk from curdling and stir in the milk until blended.
  5. For iced milk tea: fill glasses with ice and pour the vanilla jasmine milk tea over the ice.
  6. For bubble tea style: add cooked tapioca pearls to each glass before pouring the milk tea.
