Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups frozen sweet cherries pitted
  • 1 medium frozen banana
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • Ice cubes if using fresh cherries
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

Method
 

  1. Add the almond milk to the blender first, followed by the Greek yogurt, almond butter, vanilla extract, and honey if using.
  2. Add the frozen cherries, frozen banana, and chia seeds. If you're using fresh cherries instead of frozen, add a handful of ice cubes for a thicker consistency.
  3. Blend on high speed for about 45 to 60 seconds until the smoothie is completely creamy and smooth. If it's too thick, add a splash of almond milk. For a thicker smoothie, blend in a few extra frozen cherries.

  5. Pour into chilled glasses and serve immediately with fresh cherries or a sprinkle of chia seeds if desired.
