Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe avocados peeled and pitted
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons jalapeño seeded and finely chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • Fresh cilantro leaves

Method
 

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a food processor or blender. Add cilantro, lime juice, jalapeño, garlic, sour cream, cumin, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Blend the ingredients until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the processor as needed.

  3. Taste the dip and adjust the seasoning by adding more lime juice, salt, or jalapeño according to your preference.
  4. If you prefer a thicker dip, blend for a shorter time or reduce the amount of sour cream. For a lighter consistency, add a small splash of water or extra lime juice.
  5. Transfer the avocado dip to a serving bowl and smooth the top with a spoon.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves, sliced jalapeños, and a drizzle of lime juice and serve with tortilla chips, crackers, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.
