A British sitcom called Ghosts debuted on BBC One in April 2019. The show centers on a group of ghosts from various historical eras who inhabit a country home with its new live residents.
Many of the cast members of Yonderland and Horrible Histories contributed to the writing and performing of the series. Additionally, the series is co-aired on HBO Max, Britbox, and CBC Gem in the US and Canada, respectively.
Despite some television critics’ claims to the contrary, the series is the first post-watershed comedy by the ensemble and is appropriate for both adults and kids.
The series has received favorable reviews, with reviewers praising the high joke rate, the plot, and the ensemble cast’s talent. The series was created by ITV Studios’ production division Monumental Pictures.
Ghosts Season 4 Release Date
Ghosts will premiere its fourth season on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 8:50 p.m., immediately following the premiere of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Ghosts Season 4 Cast: Who Will Be in It?
The regular cast members should return to their roles. Along with their fellow ghosts and co-stars Lolly Adefope and Katy Wix, this group also features Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard, and Ben Willbond, who have previously collaborated on Yonderland, Bill, and Horrible Histories.
Of course, the program wouldn’t be complete without Alison (Charlotte Ritchie) and Mike (Kiell Smith-Bynoe), the proprietors of Button House, who we can anticipate seeing again.
We’d want to see their annoying neighbors Barclay and Bunny Beg-Chetwynde return outside the home (Geoff McGivern and Sophie Thompson).
Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous) did guest star as Fanny’s mother in the Christmas special, so she has the potential to return if we went further into Fanny’s narrative, even though it’s unlikely we’ll see her in season four.
About her experience collaborating with the cast, Charlotte Ritchie spoke to Digital Spy as follows: “It’s paradise. They’re really funny. They’re all really funny. Every actor on there is just brilliant. I’m so incredibly happy I do it.”
In March, she also provided an update on how the new season’s filming was progressing.
She told me what to watch, “It’s going incredibly well and I’m so thrilled for people to see the new season.” “When I’m acting, I occasionally give Pat or Kitty, with whom I’m standing, a lot of thought. They are now actual people in my head!”
Ritchie has had a busy few months filming Ghosts season 4 and joining the ensemble of Netflix’s You, which is now filming in the London region this spring (including at Royal Holloway, University of London, where Surrey Live reported that students posted videos).
Along with Timothée Chalamet, Olivia Colman, and her Ghosts co-stars Simon Farnaby and Mathew Baynton, she also has a part in the upcoming Charlie And The Chocolate Factory prequel, Wonka.
As executive producers on the American version of Ghosts, which features a New York couple inheriting an American country house and the ghosts inside (including hippie Susan
who died trying to befriend a wild bear, and Viking Thorfinn, who died of a lightning strike and is modeled on the British Ghosts’ Robi), Farnaby, and Baynton haven’t exactly been taking it easy between seasons either.
