Aaron Carter Before and After Photos
If you were born in the 1990s, you’re probably familiar with Aaron Carter, the blonde heartthrob of every teen girl’s fantasies.
Carter may have ‘Beat Shaq’ and had us singing ‘Oh Aaron’ and ‘I Want Candy’ on repeat, but some may have forgotten that he struggled with addiction in the past. In a surprising Instagram post, the 90s heartthrob provides a before and after of his recovery.
The musician announced to the world that he had an issue 2 years ago today. The singer discussed his routine cosmetic operations and how he was dealing with an addiction to the surgeries and prescription pills in his first interview on ‘The Doctors,’ going into depth with Daily Mail on what he was abusing.
He admitted to being prescribed Xanax and Oxycodone, but when he couldn’t get refills, he went to the streets to get them illegally. He was virtually unrecognizable as he sobbed and expressed his need to get better. The devastating clip from his original interview may be seen here.
The pop sensation has made a lot of progress since then, revealing his dramatic before and after photographs of his recuperation on Instagram and speaking up to his fans in the heartbreaking post.
The following is a portion of the post: “While my life hasn’t always been easy, it is now my turn to shine. Every day, I am developing and learning, and I will never stop. #recovery #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthawareness #recovery #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthawareness # “,. You’re on your way, Aaron.
In the photos, one image shows sunken eyes, a gaunt and sad-looking Carter, while the other shows him full-faced, healthy, and smiling. The post is linked below.
The star has unquestionably improved, and his fans are proud of him. As one commenter put it, “When I see the two photographs combined, I’m completely taken aback and amazed! I’m incredibly proud of what you’ve accomplished. I adore how healthy and cheerful you appear!”
We couldn’t agree more, however other commenters are upset with the actor, branding him a liar for disguising his mental health difficulties. “…claiming you have NO mental health concerns but you have numerous.. you lied,” part of the comment reads.
It’s difficult to admit you have a problem to the rest of the world, especially given the stigmas that still persist around mental health. Millions of Americans struggle with addiction and mental health difficulties each year, and it tragically has no bias, not even from celebrities.
We Floridians were fortunate enough to watch a healthy Carter perform for free in July, but even if we hadn’t, we’re delighted for Aaron and his success on his road to recovery.
