Christina Claire Ciminella, Wynonna Judd’s mother, was born on May 30, 1964, in Ashland, Kentucky. Singer Naomi Judd was her mother.
After being dumped by her lover and Judd’s biological father, Charles Jordan, who passed away in 2000, her mother swiftly wed Michael Ciminella. She was given the last name Ciminella.

To continue their joint musical career as the mother-daughter duo The Judds, the Judds relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1979. The Judds recorded 23 hit singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles charts between 1983 and 1991, with 14 of those reaching number one.
Additionally, they produced two greatest hits collections, one Christmas album, and eight studio albums. The Judds sold over 20 million records globally during their six-year career and received over 60 industry honors, including eight Billboard Music Awards, nine County Music Association Awards (seven of which were consecutive), and five Grammy Nominations, and nine awards from the Country Music Association.
They held that title for a while before being surpassed by Brooks & Dunn in the 1990s as the biggest-selling combo in country music.
Naomi had to retire early after her 1991 farewell tour due to a persistent case of hepatitis C. For a K-Mart-sponsored New Year’s Eve concert, Wynonna and her mother got back together in 1999.

During her solo career, she has released eight studio albums, a live album, a Christmas album, two compilation albums, more than 20 singles, and more. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has awarded platinum or higher certification to three of her albums.
Wynonna & the Big Noise released the single “Cool Ya”. “Recollections” and “Are You Ready For The Country” were released in support of Public Television in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
A day before The Judds were jointly inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and 19 days after The Judds’ final appearance at the 2022 CMT Music Awards, Wynonna’s mother, Naomi, passed away.

Elijah Judd, the son of Wynonna and Arch Kelley III, was born in 1993. The couple tied the knot in 1996 when she was four months along with their second child.
Wynonna married her second husband, D. R. Roach, who was formerly her bodyguard, in Tennessee in 2003. She filed for divorce five days after he was detained in 2007 for sexually abusing a child under the age of 13.
