Anna Nicole Smith met Larry Birkhead at the infamous Barnstable-Brown Gala in Louisville, Kentucky, the night before the Kentucky Derby. Anna Nicole Smith sadly died on February 8, 2007. Larry Birkhead’s daughter, Dannielynn, was only a few months old at the time of her death, and he had to order a paternity test because Howard K. Stern was mentioned on the infant’s birth certificate. “I hate to be the one who told you this, but… I told you so,” Birkhead told reporters after the DNA test confirmed he was the father, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
