There are only three official “The Conjuring” films – “The Conjuring,” “The Conjuring 2,” and the freshly released horror smash, “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.” Lorraine and Ed Warren, a real-life couple who advertised themselves as paranormal investigators, are portrayed by Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson in this fictitious dramatization of some of their most famous cases.

The first film, “The Conjuring,” tells the story of the Perron family, who have relocated into an old mansion in Rhode Island and are experiencing weird otherworldly occurrences. The Warrens paid a visit to the family and attempted to assist them in removing the alleged spirits that haunted the property, which resulted in a terrible and widely reported encounter. The film version expands on the Perrons’ story by including more supernatural horrors and creating its own haunting mythology, which will be used in future films.

“The Conjuring” and the subsequent films in the franchise have all been huge hits. “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do Movie,” the most recent installment, earned mixed reviews from critics, but it was nevertheless well-made, and fans certainly want more. So, will “The Conjuring 4” be released?

The Conjuring 4 Release Date: When Could We Expect the Conjuring 4?

The Conjuring 4 Release Date

We don’t have a confirmed release date for The Conjuring 4 because Warner Bros. hasn’t announced it yet.

Between The Conjuring (July 2013) and The Conjuring 2 (June 2016), there was a three-year break, and then a five-year gap between The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. However, it was originally scheduled to be released in September 2020, thus it would have taken four years.

If a fourth film is made, fans will have to wait a long time, with a release date slated for early summer 2024. Alternatively, the producers may choose to focus on another Conjuring film rather than the spin-offs, so it may arrive sooner.

But perhaps that’s just wishful thinking on our part.

Who Will Be in The Cast of The Conjuring 4?

The Conjuring 4 Release Date

Aside from Farmiga and Wilson, there are just a few persons we can predict will feature in the next edition. Sterling Jerins, who played Judy Warren, Ed and Lorraine’s daughter, in both “The Conjuring 2” and “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It,” would almost certainly return, as would Steve Coulter as Father Gordon, the Warrens’ spiritual advisor, who has appeared in all of “The Conjuring” films as well as “Annabelle Comes Home.” If Farmiga and Wilson return, Coulter will undoubtedly accompany them.

Fans are also likely to witness Joseph Bishara, a composer, and actor who has played Bathsheba in “The Conjuring,” the Annabelle Demon in “Annabelle: Creation,” and a few other demons in the Conjuring movie universe. If the tale brings back the Demon Nun, or Valak, from “The Conjuring 2” and the spinoff film, fans may witness Bonnie Aarons reprising her role as the terrible spirit.

With each subsequent picture, The Conjuring franchise deepens the tale and introduces new characters, so expect plenty of fresh faces in “The Conjuring 4.” Ruairi O’Connor plays Arne Cheyenne Johnson, Sarah Catherine Hook plays Debby Glatzel, Julian Hilliard plays David Glatzel, and John Noble plays Kastner in “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.” Who knows, maybe they’ll bring back a handful of these people in a sequel.

The Conjuring 4 Plot: What Cases Could the Conjuring 4 Cover?

The Conjuring 4 Release Date

After the trial of Arne Johnson concluded in November 1981, we may presume that The Conjuring 4 will take place after this point in the timeline.

With the Snedeker house and the Smurl Haunting, the Warrens explored two haunted residences in 1986. Both focused on houses allegedly haunted by demons, and the former has already been loosely inspired by The Haunting in Connecticut.

However, after the third film deviated from the haunted house template, a return to it could be a disappointing step backward for the series.

If they wish to avoid that trap, there’s one case from the Warrens’ case files that offers a lot of promise: the legend of the White Lady in Easton’s Union Cemetery.

While the Warrens did not conduct a formal investigation into the phenomenon, they have claimed to possess a video showing the White Lady in action and have produced a book about it.

That remain a few intriguing cases from the Warrens’ real-life experiences that may be utilized as the foundation for a new film in which they return to a haunted house.
