An American historical drama television series called Project Blue Book debuted on History on January 8, 2019. Aidan Gillen plays the lead role of Dr. J. Allen Hynek, and the first season has ten episodes.
The show is based on Project Blue Book, a real-life investigation into unidentified flying objects by the US Air Force.
The show received a 10-episode second season renewal from History on February 10, 2019, and it will air on January 21, 2020. The series was discontinued in May 2020, it was revealed.
Story of Project Blue Book
The plot centers on Dr. J. Allen Hynek, a brilliant college professor hired by the U.S. Air Force to look into hundreds of suspicious cases that had been compiled under the code name “Project Blue Book.” The novel is based on actual events. And to this day, at least 700 of them are still unsolved.
Each episode of Project Blue Book is devoted to a specific recorded UFO-related case that occurred during one of the most enigmatic periods in US history.
Release Date for Season 3 of Project Blue Book
The History Channel chose to stop airing fiction programs and concentrate only on documentaries, hence the show was canceled as a result. A petition to air Season 3 of “Project Blue Book” on a new network was submitted in May 2020.
The third season of Project Blue Book has yet to be released by HISTORY or any other network. However, if we look at the show’s current timetable, the impending debut appears to be around 2022 or 2023.
We do not, however, rule out a sooner premiere because the show received an early renewal. If so, Season 3 of Project Blue Book might air this fall or winter.
