‘Only Murders In The Building’ Season 2, Episode 6 Ending Explained

Only Murders in The Building Season 2 Episode 7 Spoilers

Before her podcast “Only Murders in the Building” Season 1, Cinda Canning had expressed an interest in covering Bunny Folger’s murder case, which had been a massive hit. The rookie podcasters Charles, Oliver, and Mabel seemed like good targets for her, so in Episode 6, she aired an episode about Mabel Mora, the primary suspect in Bunny’s murder.

In digging into Mabel’s past, Cinda’s assistant Poppy White came across a man named Jimmy Russo who claimed that Mabel had hacked off his finger while working at Long John Silver.

Poppy White contacted Jimmy Russo. After hearing his claim, Cinda jumped at the opportunity to tell her audience that Mabel had a tendency to snap.

As Bunny’s murder was part of a pattern, so was Jimmy’s attack on him. Jimmy’s story is completely unreliable, but Cinda didn’t care because she was more interested in fabricating the facts than finding the truth.

The sender of an anonymous text message to Charles the night of Bunny’s murder asked that he leave the building.

As a result, Charles asked Mabel to send a text to the same number in order to obtain a fingerprint report on the matchbook that she found in the secret passageway until Episode 6. Afterward, the sender promised to collect evidence from them.

To their surprise, the team soon learned from Detective Kreps that Williams was away on maternity leave in Denver, indicating that the person sending them texts was most likely the assassin who killed Bunny.

Only Murders in The Building Season 2 Episode 7 Spoilers

Detective Kreps had tracked Williams down to Denver. The unidentified sender requested Charles to drop evidence at Morningside Park, so they decided to leave a fake one in the form of a glitter bomb in an attempt to catch the killer “glitter-handed”.

However, as they waited for the assassin to arrive, Charles began telling a story about his tragic love affair with a serial killer and how he didn’t want to leave Jan behind.

As a result, he was able to divert the killer’s attention while the glitter bomb stunned the assailant. He fled as soon as Mabel spotted him/her near the trash bin, and they were unable to apprehend the assailant yet another time.

In order to quickly establish her innocence, Mabel became enraged by their recurrent failures. As Cinda Canning dug deeper into Mabel’s past, she became increasingly uncomfortable.

To make matters worse, her team of investigators was nothing more than a ragtag group of misfits who were incapable of accomplishing anything without making a mess of it.

On her way out, Mabel discovered that Alice had re-created the Bunny’s murder scene in her workshop/apartment and was taking pictures of it.

So why did Alice enter Mabel’s life, and what was she trying to accomplish? Alice may have found Mabel’s tragic story fascinating and decided to create a photo story exhibition based on it, which may have been the only reason she was so interested in Bunny Folger’s murder case.

Everyone wanted to take advantage of the increased visibility that Mabel was receiving. That means that Mabel will be without a lover this season if Alice is guilty of misappropriating the material for her own gain.

There was a person with red glitter on his/her body at the end of “Only Murders In The Building” Season 2, Episode 6, which we believe was the same person from Oliver’s glitter bomb. Mabel made the decision to track down the assassin.

It’s unclear exactly what Mabel was trying to do when she stabbed the killer in the arm to stop him from fleeing, but at least one thing was clear in the end or at least it looked like it in the video that Oliver received from his son and was recorded by one of the passengers in the subway.

According to the passengers, this was the second time Bloody Mabel had attacked them, and it proved Cinda Canning’s theory that Mabel had a tendency to snap.

So, was Bunny Folger killed by Mabel? Definitely not, but it’s going to be interesting to see how Charles, Oliver, and Mabel prove their innocence in the upcoming episodes.
