Prior to the show’s comeback on Disney Plus, Loki season 2 is presently in production. We’ve had our first glimpses of some of the characters on set as a result, and it’s safe to say we’re very eager.
I’ll start from the beginning As Loki and Mobius are on a set covered in Easter eggs, Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson were photographed in London looking quite sharp. Then, in a peculiar setting, Sophia DiMartino returned as Sylvie for the first time.
Additionally, at the MCU Comic-Con event, Marvel CEO Kevin Feige provided an update on the release date for the series. Fans received confirmation from him that it will be launched in the summer of 2023 as a part of Marvel Phase 5.

When will Loki season 2 possibly be available on Disney+?
Never fear, everyone! It was announced in the first season’s end credits sequence, which aired in July 2021, that Loki will return for season two.
However, the MCU series still has no set release date as of August 2022.
Hiddleston told Marvel.com the following in response to the confirmation: “The fact that we got to do season one makes me so happy, but I still find it hard to comprehend that we get to try again. The possibilities thrill me much. Discussions have already begun. talks that are really profound. I am really eager to begin.”
Without the audience, we wouldn’t be able to produce a season two, so I want to thank you for watching, he continued. “I’m hoping season one was a pleasant surprise. And I anticipate season two to have even more to offer.”
It would be a trick that even Loki himself would have difficulties pulling off, so perhaps don’t anticipate it to be much crazier than season one.
According to writer-producer Michael Waldron of Loki, “We had an alligator drinking wine out of a kiddie pool” (via Polygon). “It was so bizarre it felt like the pinnacle of Mount Everest! There are, in my opinion, many opportunities there.”
Well, he is not mistaken!
We always try to surpass ourselves, but hopefully, it’s driven by character, he continued. “And indeed, as I once more discovered in [Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness], no notion is too wild.
If Stephen Strange is depicted as owning his own corpse, you could decide to shoot it. That makes me want to be brave, which is excellent.”
Season two is currently “underway” and “being developed as we speak,” according to Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios, but this could mean anything from “the script is currently being written” to “Tom Hiddleston is finishing up his scenes immediately.”
We know that filming is happening, but we don’t know when it will end because Tom was spotted on the set in July 2022 wearing the character’s distinctive inky black haircut.
At this rate, it would most likely occur around the middle to late spring of 2023, which would be in May or June of that year.

Who is the cast of Loki Season 2?
As Loki, the God of Mischief, Tom Hiddleston will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The majority of the season one cast, including Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Eugene Cordero as Casey, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, and Tara Strong as the voice of Miss Minutes, will return.
In addition, Jonathan Majors will return in his role as Kang the Conqueror because Loki’s discovery of a monument of one of Kang’s variations at the Time Variance Authority headquarters marked the conclusion of season 1.
In his hostile role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which takes place before season 2 of Loki, we’ll see more of him. Additionally, Rafael Casal has been hired for an unnamed part.
Loki season 2 story
The details of the Loki season 2 plot are being withheld. Following the announcement of season 2, Hiddleston initially said he was “excited about the possibilities” and that the crew was in “deep, deep, deep negotiations”; but, the actor has since kept a tight lip.
Mbatha-Raw expressed her eagerness for her character to visit “some deeper, darker areas” on Popculture.com(opens in new tab). A villain who prioritizes her commitment to the TVA above all else, Ravonna Renslayer was initially portrayed as a type of anti-hero and a potential love interest for Mobius.
In search of free will, Ravonna set out on her own in the season finale. “She is searching for the person who deceived her.
She is going to set off in pursuit of that “Head writer Michael Waldron made a statement.
“She’s a dangerous client to encounter anywhere in the Multiverse. We shall thus wait and see.”
In the epilogue, Sylvie, a love interest and Loki variant sent Loki into another reality so she might finally kill He Who Remains. She doesn’t feel as fulfilled by the killing as she had anticipated, and at the End of Time, she is left by herself at the Citadel.
The closing scene of Sylvie’s story is “an exciting location to start another chapter,” Sophia Di Martino said in an interview with RadioTimes(opens in new tab) (via Marvel(opens in new tab)), adding that she is unsure if her character will return. However, we now know she’s returning.
When asked about Loki season 2 by Total Film, Hiddleston responded as follows: “What else can I say? It still challenges and intrigues me greatly. The plot continues after season 1 ends.
That seems to be very evident. Loki is nearly as erratic, turbulent, passionate, and unpredictable as he has ever been. Perhaps some of that needs resolution. Things need to be unpacked.”
Waldron also made a hint about what was to come. He stated on Deadline’s Hero Nation podcast that the only reason he felt it was worthwhile to start the show in the first place was to “find a new tale to tell with this character” (opens in new tab).
“With Loki, it seemed like we had to traverse fresh emotional terrain. There is no other way to enter season 2. We definitely discovered that. It’s an excellent continuation of the plot that seems different from season one and, hopefully, defies expectations.”
