Welcome to the first day of the remaining seven days. I’m hoping all is okay with you. However, if today’s Heardle tune is giving you difficulties, I can help you out and keep your streak running with some hints and a solution.
First, here’s how to play Heardle if you’ve never played it before: You will hear the first bars of a song that is comparatively well-known.
After that, you can either guess the artist and title or skip your round. You’ll hear a little more of the song if you skip or make a bad guess.
You won’t hear the song again for 16 seconds after the sixth and final guess.
However, even seasoned Heardle players don’t play every day. Here are some tunes you may have missed if you haven’t played in a while:
Wednesday, June 29: “Dance Monkey” by Tones and I
Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs” is the song for Thursday, June 30.
Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2” will be played on Friday, July 1.
Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” will be played on Saturday, July 2.
Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up,” which was released on Sunday, July 3.
On Monday, July 4, Twenty-One Pilots will perform “Stressed Out.”
Here are some hints for today’s Heardle game, followed by the solution, in case they are causing you any stress:

Having said that, the music for today is…
Eric Carmen’s song, “Hungry Eyes”
This is one of those unpleasant times when I recognize the song but have no idea who the artist or title is.
We didn’t go that far in the first 16 seconds, though I might have guessed it from the chorus. Never mind. Here is a link where you can hear the song in its entirety:
