Since then, Dexter: New Blood has been resurrected as a revival of the popular serial killer series.
A decade has passed since the Season 8 finale, and in an attempt to redeem the wrongs of the highly panned ending, the reboot has begun filming (read our Dexter: New Blood review for more on this).
In addition, the show’s 10-episode run on Showtime averaged roughly 8 million viewers per week, making it Showtime’s most-watched series of all time.
Since its premiere 10 weeks ago, “Dexter: New Blood” has received “overwhelming” fan support, says Showtime Networks’ entertainment head, Gary Levine. “Regardless of whether or not they enjoyed the conclusion, we greatly appreciate their enthusiasm.”
Fans who have watched the entire series are naturally curious if there will be a Dexter: New Blood season 2.
Will There Be a Season Two of Dexter: New Blood?
Season 1 of ‘Dexter: New Blood‘ premiered on November 7, 2021, and finished on January 9, 2022, with ten 58-43-minute-long episodes. Season 2 information has been released thus far.
A second season of “Dexter: New Blood” has yet to be announced by Showtime management or the series’ producers. Phillips responded yes when asked by Deadline if he was interested in continuing the story.
The numbers are expected to keep rising after the finale, he said. Ultimately, Showtime must decide whether or not they want to continue with the show.
My immediate response if questioned about doing a sequel is an unequivocal “yes.” In spite of my busy schedule, I’d happily accept this opportunity.
Phillips has previously teased that there might be more ‘Dexter’ in an interview with THR’s ‘TVs Top 5’ podcast. When asked about the possibility of a second season, he said: “Let me say this: Never say never.
It’s possible that I could have said yes or no. I’m attempting to express the idea that nothing is beyond the reach of the human imagination.
Because anything can happen, I’m not going to say that this is the end of the franchise. That’s an excellent response, in my opinion. Dexter New Blood Season 2 is expected az released on 21, October 2022.
An announcement was made by producer Scott Reynolds on January 10, 2022, through Twitter that the show will be getting a major makeover in the morning. Dexter: New Blood season 2 is anticipated to debut in the fourth quarter of 2022 according to the release.
Dexter: New Blood Season 2 Cast: Who Can Be in It?
Actors such as Michael C. Hall, Jack Alcott, Jennifer Carpenter, Julia Jones, and Clancy Brown appear in the first season of “Dexter: New Blood” as Jim Lindsay, Bay Harbor Butcher, Harrison Morgan, Debra Morgan, and Angela Bishop (Kurt Caldwell). With the exception of John Lithgow (Arthur Mitchell/The Trinity Killer), the rest of the cast consists of Johnny Sequoyah (Audrey Bishop) and Sergeant Logan Alano Miller (Angel Batista).
There are no more characters in The Walking Dead’s second season that haven’t already been killed off, including Hall, Carpenter, Brown, Miller, and Chung.
If Harrison’s conscience is anything like Dexter’s it may take on the form of his father. The rest of the cast is almost certainly going to be back. New cast members may also be introduced as the show’s world grows.
Dexter: New Blood Season 2 Plot: What Can It Be About?
The season one conclusion, titled ‘Sins of the Father,’ airs on Fox and features Dexter being arrested. All of the women who had written on Angela’s wall had been murdered by Kurt.
Harrison confronts Dexter after he kills Logan to get to his son, accusing him of betraying his own code of behavior. However, Angela frees Harrison after assuring him he can never return for the murder of Dexter.
In the next season 2, Harrison’s father has shown an interest in moving to Los Angeles, which could lead to him visiting the city.
His current location makes it easy to satisfy the Dark Passenger should it begin to stir. At some time, Audrey may join him, and Harrison’s half-siblings may also appear later in the season.
What’s In Store For Harrison’s Future?
Let’s get this out of the way first: Dexter, the character, will not be returning. Phillips told Deadline, “I have three words for you: Dexter is dead.” “That’s not how I’d treat my audience.
It’d be dishonest if we did that. Dexter’s season finale arrives, and it’s clear. Dexter has died.”
As a result, Harrison drives away in the conclusion, free to go wherever he wants, just like Jesse did in the Breaking Bad finale.
What a great opportunity to unleash your inner child. Will Harrison try to start over from scratch and create a new life for himself? Or is Harrison’s death of his father a complete heel turn, and we may expect to see much more evil from him in the future? Let us now shift our attention to our profile of Louisa May Alcott.
“This is the first time he’s felt this way, “Alcott was quoted as saying. “Harrison has been raised to believe that he is a monster and that he has a mental disorder.
In Iron Lake, he had a group of pals, father figures, and a town that cared. When he finds he can have a normal life, he is relieved
As far as Alcott is concerned, Harrison’s retirement is imminent. Phillips, on the other hand, seems to believe that our developing antihero may be doomed to replay his father’s mistakes in the future.
Take a look at what Phillips hinted to Deadline regarding the significance of Harrison’s dying moment.
“Harrison is such a difficult guy and he has the seeds of the dark passenger within him,” Phillips remarked of the character. “He has the ability. Look at Harrison’s takedown of Dexter, in the end, he has to kill this guy.”
