The “ghost with the most” is receiving his next big moment, putting to rest what may have been one of the most rumor-generating movie possibilities in film history.
Warner Bros. confirmed to CNN on Tuesday that the release date for “Beetlejuice 2,” the long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 macabre masterpiece, will be September of 2024. (The parent company of both CNN and Warner Bros. is called Warner Bros. Discovery.)
Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder reportedly reprise their roles in the upcoming picture, which also features “Wednesday” and “Scream VI” actress Jenna Ortega.
With a cast that included Keaton, Ryder, Alec Baldwin, and Geena Davis, “Beetlejuice” became a critical and commercial triumph, inspiring both animated spinoffs and a long-running Broadway musical that just closed.
