Tom Brady Reacts To The Retirement Of His Longtime Teammate Rob Gronkowski

On Tuesday, Rob Gronkowski, the four-time Super Bowl winner and close buddy of Tom Brady, announced his retirement from the NFL.

On Tuesday, the 44-year-old Brady paid respect to Gronkowski and their great time together on the gridiron.

Among the many things, I think of when I think of @gronk are teammate, buddy, and brother.

In his opinion, no one has ever more personified the notion of ‘giving it all out on the field,’ than Rob. It didn’t matter how many people you put in front of him, he was going to get there in the end.

The New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers won four Super Bowls between them throughout their 11-year career together as teammates. When they weren’t playing on the field, they built a lasting bond.

It’s even more crucial to know who he was when he wasn’t playing, Brady said on Instagram. “At times he was very concentrated, yet he was also having a good time. Every NFL player’s fantasy came true when Gronk joined their team. The things we’ve done together make me proud, but I’m even more thrilled about the future. Congratulations, Gronk!”

Gronkowski is no stranger to retirement; in March of this year, he announced his retirement from the NFL, only to return in April of the following year to join Brady on the Buccaneers.

In spite of this, Gronkowski’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said in an interview with ESPN that he doesn’t believe the Brady-Gronkowski era is over yet.

According to Rosenhaus, “It wouldn’t surprise me if Tom Brady called him up and Rob answered the phone.”

In his view, “I wouldn’t be shocked if Rob came back during the season or next season,” he went on.

When it comes to Gronkowski’s retirement, the 33-year-old appeared to be serious in a recent social media post.

He emailed to teammate Leonard Fournette on May 15: “I’ll represent a 7 jersey in the stands for ya,” Gronkowski hinted at his probable retirement.

It was an emotional parting speech from Gronkowski in which he thanked his teammates, coaches, and fans for their support during his career in the NFL, and then said that he was leaving the sport this time knowing he had given it “all.”
