Martin Fitzgerald is a well-known author. A child of American parents, Lawrence was born in Frankfort, Germany on April 16, 1965. After Martin Luther King Jr. and John F Kennedy, Lawrence was born After returning to the United States when he was seven years old, his family made their home in the Landover, Maryland area. In 1973, his parents separated. After that, he didn’t see his father very much anymore. In high school, Lawrence went to Friendly High School and Eleanor Roosevelt High School.

Career

Lawrence began his career as a stand-up comedian in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. During the day, he supported himself by doing odd jobs. After seeing Lawrence perform one night, comic Ritch Snyder urged him to try his luck in the New York City comedy scene.

“Do the Right Thing” gave him his big break as an actor. He hosted “Def Comedy Jam” in 1992. Lawrence also had his own Fox sitcom, “Martin,” which he starred in at the time. From 1992 through 1997, the program aired.

After hosting “Saturday Night Live” on February 19, 1994, and making offensive statements about women’s personal hygiene and genitalia in his monologue, Martin Lawrence was banned from performing on the show for the rest of his life. That episode’s monologue was omitted from replays.

In 1995, Lawrence married Miss Virginia USA, Patricia Southall, in a lavish ceremony. In 1996, Jasmine Page was born to the couple. In 1997, Lawrence and Southhall split up.

In 1997, he began a relationship with Shamicka Gibbs. Amara Trinity (2002) and Iyanna Faith (2000) are their children (2002). On July 10th, 2010, they exchanged vows. In April of that year, Lawrence filed for divorce from Gibbs.

During the production of “A Thin Line Between Love and Hate” in 1995, Lawrence apparently became aggressive and had to be hospitalized after collapsing.

During the filming of Martin in 1997, Lawrence’s co-star Tisha Campbell-Martin filed a sexual harassment and assault complaint against him. Campbell’s case was settled in April 1997, and he returned to the show for the last two episodes.

Lawrence jogged in 100-degree temperatures while preparing for “Big Momma’s House” in August 1999, wearing heavy gear over a plastic suit. It took him three days to recover from heat exhaustion, which resulted in his death. He was on the verge of passing out when his core temperature spiked to 107 degrees Fahrenheit.
