Lloyd Avery was an American rapper, actor, and convicted felon. Born on 21, 1969, in Los Angeles, California, Avery spent most of his childhood in South Central he had done many films and was known for his amazing acting. He has done a number of films including “Poetic Justice” and “Boyz n the Hood”.

Avery’s childhood was full of gangs, violence, and drug abuse and he was exposed to all of them from a very young and tender age. He grew up in a very dark and rough neighborhood in South Central, LA, and joined the Eight Tray Gangster Crips. This was a notorious street gang that was involved in drug trafficking, robbery, and murder.

He got his first role as a Knucklehead in the 1991 film “Boyz n the Hood,” directed by John Singleton. He was very much appreciated for his acting and soon he gained a lot of worldwide attention.

Avery’s character of Knucklehood was a member of the rival gang who shoots and kills the protagonist, which is played by Cuba Gooding Jr. His performance was appreciated and praised by the critics and the film was successful in conveying the complexity and difficulty of a young man trapped in violent gang culture.

Lloyd Avery’s Career Beginning

After his breakthrough role in “Boyz n the Hood,” Avery went on to appear in several other films, including “South Central,” “Poetic Justice,” and “The Walking Dead.” He also had a successful career as a rapper, recording several albums under the stage name “Nutt-So.”

Unfortunately, Avery’s life off-screen was plagued by drug addiction and legal troubles. In 1989, he was arrested for drug possession and served three years in prison. In 1995, he was arrested again, this time for manslaughter, after he and two other men robbed and killed a drug dealer.

Avery maintained his innocence, claiming that he was not present at the scene of the crime, but he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Lloyd Avery was found dead on Setember 4, 2005 in his jail cell at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facilty and State Prison in Corcoran, California. It was found that Avery was strangled with a cord from a pair of exercise shorts.

The murder case reported and was no one was found to be responsible for the murder and no one has been charged. The case still remains unsolved and no one actually know how the rapper was murdered.
