Kevin Smith Before and After Photos

Kevin Smith, 48, had a distinct look for many years, but he’s now scarcely recognizably himself! After nearly dying of a heart attack in early 2018, the singer went to Weight Watchers for aid. The end effect was fantastic! Check out his new style in the video below! “This @weightwatchers Ambassador is delighted to say that I’VE LOST 51 POUNDS!” he said on Instagram.

I was in the hospital six months ago, recovering from a heart attack the night before. “The best thing you can do for yourself right now is to lose 50 pounds,” my doctor said a week later when I returned to see her. I can say that I followed the Doctor’s orders: I started at 256 pounds and now weigh 205. Since high school, this is the lightest I’ve ever been!”

“My hope now is to shed another ten pounds with #weightwatchers and get down to my birth weight of 195!” Kevin continued. But, for now, I’m overjoyed to have attained this significant milestone! I’d like to thank #pennjillette for his book #presto, @raycronise for inspiring me with his potato famine, and #weightwatchers for their app-based program that made it simple to keep track of and regulate my eating! I’d also like to thank my son @harleyquinnsmith, the little vegan astronaut who went before me and led by example in exploring this meatless/milkless galaxy.

I merely cloned the Kid since I didn’t want to see the inside of a hospital ever again. So this wasn’t a diet: the outcomes were the consequence of a complete lifestyle shift that included eating only plant-based meals which are tough because I hate vegetables.

But, most importantly, I want to thank each and every one of you for your kind and encouraging thoughts along the process.

Never underestimate the value of positive feedback: your comments that I looked better or healthier encouraged me to keep going. A kind word can make a big difference in someone’s life, and your compliments helped me keep going! And have a peek at where I’ve gone!”

I’ve been on the Weight Watchers program for years, and he’s right: it’s not a diet. It’s a way of life that lets you eat and drink anything you want while also encouraging you to consume more fruits, veggies, and lean protein. All items have a point value, and healthy options such as chicken breast, eggs, nonfat greek yogurt, most vegetables, and fruit have none. A glass of wine is worth four points, while a full-size Snickers bar is worth twelve.

Your daily value is determined by your gender, age, and weight, however, I get 23 each day and 35 per week. People should lose no more than one to two pounds every week, according to WW, and you are encouraged to eat all of your points. Kevin looks fantastic, and we are overjoyed for him! The most essential thing is to be healthy!

Career

Kevin Smith still didn’t have much money, and he had to sell his whole comic book collection in order to fund his debut film. After returning home, he also returned to his former employment at a small convenience shop. Clerks, his first film, is heavily based on his experiences working there. Kevin Smith spent a total of $27,575 to make the movie, and he saved money by casting his buddies in various roles.

Clerks won the Filmmaker’s Trophy at the Sundance Film Festival in 1994, kicking off Kevin Smith’s career. It also received major accolades at the Cannes Film Festival that year.

As a result of the critical praise, Harvey Weinstein purchased the film from Kevin Smith, and it was released in a very restricted number of theaters. The film grossed over $3 million despite its limited release fewer than 50 screenings at any given time.

Kevin Smith’s Mallrats was a critical and commercial flop. Despite having a greater budget and more extensive screening than Clerks, it only grossed roughly $2 million.

Smith rebounded back with Chasing Amy, widely regarded as his best film of all time. The picture, which had a budget of only $250,000, grossed more than $12 million at the box office. Dogma was the next film to open, grossing $30 million on a $10 million budget.

Kevin Smith’s film Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was released in 2001. The film centers on two of Smith’s most well-known characters from his previous films.

Despite negative reviews, the film was a commercial success, grossing $30 million at the box office. Smith’s second film, on the other hand, barely made a profit.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez starred in Jersey Girl, and both had recently performed in the ill-fated Gigli. Fearing a “Gigli 2,” people stayed away from the picture completely.
