Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey have a great Emmy day to start!
In the wake of their Emmy nominations for their work on The Flight Attendant and Ozark, Cuoco and Pelphrey released a brief video of the heartwarming joyful moment when Cuoco realised she had gotten her second acting honour with her beau by her side.
It was clear that Cuoco and Pelphrey, who announced their relationship in May, were eagerly awaiting her Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series award in the black-and-white video.
It didn’t take long for the 36-year-old actress to conceal her face in disbelief after hearing the names of her fellow candidates Rachel Brosnahan and Quinta Brunson.
When Cuoco was speechless, he screamed, “Yes! Baby!” and the two of them hugged in an affectionate embrace.
“Oh my goodness!” exclaimed the audience. Cuoco stated as she burst into tears of joy.
Flight Attendant Cuoco took a moment to thank the crew members.
“There are no words… Thank you, @televisionacad, for this honour I take very seriously “together with the video and images of our Emmy nominations, she commented on her Instagram account. Thanks to the entire team of @flightattendantonmax for an unforgettable journey.
To share this moment with my @tommypelphrey… what a time and we are so grateful,” Cuoco said, applauding her boyfriend’s achievement.
On Tuesday, Tom Pelphrey received his first-ever Emmy nomination for his role on Ozark and will compete against Adrien Brody, James Cromwell, Colman Domingo, Arian Moayed and Alexander Skarsgard in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series category.
Also on Instagram, Pelphrey celebrated the occasion.
“Wow. The nomination form @televisionacad is very appreciated. When the 39-year-old actor remarked, “What a fantastic, happy surprise,” Cuoco responded, “You’re baby. You’re so adorable.”
For all the fantastic chances Netflix has given me, I’d like to thank them. Sincere congratulations to all of the nominees! My heart is full of gratitude that I was able to be a part of this.”
Another post he made in which he extolled the virtues of his lady love read: “Congratulations to one of my favourite actresses, too! So much beauty and bravery in this piece. So happy to share this with you today… Thank you so much…”
