Caroline Brooks, a cast member of “Real Housewives of Dubai,” is unimpressed by Lisa Rinna’s apologies, in which she attributes her Instagram “raging” to bereavement.
The reality actress told E! News, “I was astonished that’s the approach she took when apologizing rather than being more direct, like, ‘I messed up.'”
“However, it might be grief. She may be grieving, but I can’t say for sure. I did read the apology, though, and it wasn’t very clear. She might have aimed it at the individuals she upset.
Caroline Brooks, 37, continued by claiming that Lisa Rinna, 58, had only “a tiny amount” of development and had made a “very generic remark.”
She continued, “She shouldn’t just go around offending people she doesn’t know, so I hope she’s being honest and I hope she genuinely means it. “It’s not very polite and it’s cruel. And we completely mishandled it.
As previously reported by Page Six, the dispute between Rinna and a number of “RHODubai” cast members started after the reality star made a contentious statement on her Instagram Story.
She asserted at the time that any disagreements she or her white co-stars had with Garcelle Beauvais, the only black full-time housewife on “RHOBH,” are instantly interpreted as racist.
Rinna wrote, “If we fight with Garcelle suddenly we are labeled racist.” That is nonsense. That is unacceptable to me. I am not frightened of any of you hoes, and I will express myself as I choose.
Rinna said, “And if you are just that triggered by our show and a lot of you p—sies are, go watch Dubai,” dragging the new franchise into the controversy.
Several “RHODubai” stars, including Brooks, then interjected with their own dubious remarks to silence Rinna. Because of its varied cast, many claimed that Rinna’s mention of the franchise was in and of itself a microaggression.

But this is by no means the first time a Bravo celebrity has come under fire for racial insensitivity. Diana Jenkins, a cast member with Rinna, has lately come under criticism after it appeared that she disparaged someone for being a “black content provider.”
NeNe Leakes, a former cast member of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” is suing Bravo and executive producer Andy Cohen for allegedly creating a hostile work environment.
