Brett Kavanaugh forced to flee steak house by Pete Buttigieg and protesters

During this week’s anti-abortion protests in Washington, DC, Pete Buttigieg defended his husband’s tweet making fun of the disruption of Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s dinner.

Chasten Buttigieg’s Twitter remark, in which he stated: “Sounds like he just wanted some privacy to make his own dining decisions,” was questioned on Fox News Sunday. The Transport Secretary responded that it was appropriate.

Although Mr. Buttigieg acknowledged that public servants “should always be free from violence,” he also asserted that they would never be shielded from criticism and nonviolent demonstrations.

“Keep in mind that these demonstrators were never ever in contact with the justice; it is said that they were not visible or audible.

And the reason why these protesters are furious is that a crucial right that the majority of Americans favor was taken away.

The right to privacy had also been “stripped away” by Justice Kavanaugh, according to Mr. Buttigieg, who was one of the six conservative justices who voted to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Since I’ve been alive, settled case law in the United States has held that the Constitution protects the right to privacy, but that has now been overturned by justices, including Justice Kavanaugh, who, in my memory, swore oaths before God and everyone, including the United States Congress, that they would follow established case law.

Chasten Buttigieg’s “So, obviously, people are angry. Their First Amendment rights will be exercised.

The Transport Secretary spoke over Mr. Buttigieg respectfully but strongly as Fox News anchor Mike Emmanuel repeatedly attempted to intervene.

Social media users complimented Mr. Buttigieg’s composed, clear-eyed performance as clips of the interview garnered millions of views in just a few hours.

Brett Meiselas, a podcast presenter, commented, “I thought Rupert Murdoch owned Fox News, yet I keep on seeing Pete Buttigieg own them every single week.”
