Holmes County Sheriff’s deputies have said they found Kyle Craig shot and killed near a truck stop in the county. She said her brother had been buying and fixing ATVs and finding 4-wheelers on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace for the past decade.

Visitation for Kyle was held at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, MS, on July 3, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. With Shelbie Garbutt and Brantley Hays Craig by his side, Kyle has left behind a family.

Tributes have been paid to him by his mother Julie Craig Collins and father Chad Hamilton, along with sisters Morgan and Amber; and brother Gavin Craig. As Morgan, Kyle’s younger sister, put it, “I want to remember him for who he truly was.”

She remarked, ” “Nothing will be done for me by my brother. I’m just looking for the truth. His legacy will live on for many years to come. Nobody saw him walk, talk or drive his son, a little boy he left behind. This is where Kyle’s justice comes into play.”

Last Wednesday, around 9:30 a.m., Morgan said she last heard from her brother, Kyle Craig, when he visited a Holmes County seller he knew about.

On Thursday morning, when Kyle hadn’t responded to their calls, the family tracked his phone and drove four hours to his last known location. On the spot where Morgan’s brother had been found murdered, Morgan said, “We arrived exactly at his last known location.”
